I've been following this "paleo" diet thingy for a few months now and I'm really enjoying it. Gone are the days when I was bloaty and tired after eating, the constant feeling of hunger, the craving for chocolate and the phrase, "I feel sick". The last was what I'd invariably say after enjoying a meal. Or a pound or two of Jelly Bellies.
My energy levels are much more stable throughout the day. I enjoy, with great gusto, every meal I consume. I only have one or two a day but they are always the best meal I've ever eaten.
About once a week or so I'll fast and then enjoy an unusually large helping of meat, lard and, well, more lard on top.
My dogs have joined in this fun, too. Admittedly, being dogs, they don't get a choice in the matter but I do know that it's doing them a lot of good already. Long before I'd heard of the paleo diet I'd wondered about the wisdom of feeding dogs bowls full of grain every day.
Now they eat mainly raw meat and bones with the occasional table scraps (of mostly the same things) to round out their nutrients. They bloody love it! Here are a few pictures from tonight's post-fast frenzy:

By the way, make sure you don't get between a hungry beast and its meat.
Holly and Idris get a bit touchy about it, too.
Both the dogs are losing weight. This was what prompted me to put them on the same diet as me. The vet said they were too big and should go on a diet so, on the diet they went. They are both steadily losing weight.
As an added bonus, their lifelong "feature" of leaking while they sleep has completely disappeared. They've been on pills since they were about 12 months old to try and stop the flow but they only had minimal impact.
And now, within a few weeks of going "paleo" and actually eating the food their nature dictates, my house no longer smells of dog pee. I'm sure it's better for them in every way. They don't fart now. They have lost the ability to clear a room in under 10 seconds. Not a bad thing to lose, if you ask me.
Actually, come to think of it, I seem to have lost that ability too. Cor!
